The Great Meow!

The Great Meow is an event on Facebook (and off) in remembrance of all those kitties who have gone to the Bridge.  If you are on Facebook, you can find out more about it by clicking here.

Rori, our alpha cat, is MEOWING loudly for all our angel kits, as are our other cats.  You can find out more about our angels by clicking each of their names as we meow them out.

Photo Friday: Blurred

Camera phones don't take the greatest pictures in the world, but it was all I had at the time. Here are some of my favorites!
Above, Baby Chiba (Smokey & Little Bit's sister, Boo-Boo's daughter) and Starla eating on the porch

Our now-angel foster Sara Princess Kitty checking out a paper bag that everyone else had been playing in. 18-year-old Sara Kitty didn't want to be left out of the fun, even though she was almost blind. :)

Carbon loves to wear my shoes! He'll do this with any flat-heeled pair that I leave lying around: sandals, jellies, clogs, etc.

Our feral friend Shadow from our old house, letting us know that she was semi-comfortable around us. I still was about 10 feet away at this point, and couldn't get any closer at that time without spooking her, but she exposed her belly to let me know that that distance was ok with her.

Photo Friday: Circular

This is the pawprint memorial the vet made for us after Skylar's sister Lydia died last October. We also got one after sweet Sara Kitty died in January. It still means so much that we have these, to take down and touch where their paws pressed into the clay.
It helps when we're missing them.

Photo Friday: Pet

Oh, boy! Our whole blog could qualify for this one! This is Mommy with our now-angel-kitty Sara. Sara Kitty lived to be 17 or 18 years old, and was put to sleep in January (old age and dementia). Our family adopted her for the last year of her life, and she was loved and cared for until the end. You can read more about her time with us on her Catster page.
