Photo Friday: Summer Fun

Last year's fireworks show at Long Beach, WA, USA, was wonderful!
We didn't get to go this year, but hopefully will next year again.

Photo Friday: Bloom

Yes, we know it's Sunday instead of Friday, but we're posting late this weekend.  Anyway, enjoy!  These roses are from my grandparents' backyard, picked and arranged by my uncle for my dad's birthday.  :)

Photo Friday: The Coast

Long Beach, WA, USA, on the 4th of July last year.
There were so many fireworks going off that it looked like the beach was on fire!
Smoke in the air, popping noises, bright colors.  :)

Photo Friday: Sunshine

Outdoor Fluffy Buddy enjoying some winter sunshine last year at our old house.
He's a feral (wild) cat, doesn't tolerate humans,
but would come and eat at the bowl we put on our back porch.

Photo Friday: Wheels

This dog was jealous of our wheels! He wanted to jump into the stroller with Tabby, and almost did at one point!

Rori (in the basket) and her brother Knut as kittens, playing around our wheels.

Carbon sitting in the stroller when it first arrived.

We got our wheels two years ago, as a present from Mommy. She bought our stroller, a Pet Gear Happy Trails Pet Stroller, at PetSmart. Tabby uses it most, riding to and during her visits to the nursing home, but most of us like going out in it once in a while as well.

Photo Friday: Blurred

Camera phones don't take the greatest pictures in the world, but it was all I had at the time. Here are some of my favorites!
Above, Baby Chiba (Smokey & Little Bit's sister, Boo-Boo's daughter) and Starla eating on the porch

Our now-angel foster Sara Princess Kitty checking out a paper bag that everyone else had been playing in. 18-year-old Sara Kitty didn't want to be left out of the fun, even though she was almost blind. :)

Carbon loves to wear my shoes! He'll do this with any flat-heeled pair that I leave lying around: sandals, jellies, clogs, etc.

Our feral friend Shadow from our old house, letting us know that she was semi-comfortable around us. I still was about 10 feet away at this point, and couldn't get any closer at that time without spooking her, but she exposed her belly to let me know that that distance was ok with her.

Photo Friday: Self-Portrait 2010

My life's not complete without a kitty or two (or more) around or on me. In this case, the two pictured were a couple weeks old. They were fosters from last year. I love this picture, but it makes me sad at the same time because we lost the tiny tuxies. They were just too young.
The joys in life and the sorrows. It all is a part of life, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Photo Friday: Square

Yes, we know it's Saturday, but Mommy was busy yesterday and didn't get our post up in time. So, here it it!

One of our favorite squares: our Bizzy-Kitty toy! Our purrents put some of our balls and other toys inside it, and then we take them out. Some of them come out with just a bat of the paw, while others take longer and may need the use of claws or teeth.

Photo Friday: The Face

Rori has always loved to investigate the camera, from the time she was a baby kitten! The third picture is one of our former fosters (from a few years ago), Spooky, who also loved to ham it up. The last picture is Rori, all grown up, at just over 2 years old.

Photo Friday: Cameraphone Shot

A push-me-pull-you truck? Trick of the camera? Neither!
It's actually two trucks parked end-to-end in a parking lot!

Photo Friday: In Shadow

Our feral Outdoor Fluffy Buddy, foster kitten Cloud's dad, in February.
When I was uploading these pictures, Cloud was up on the desk.
He batted at the picture, which he's never done before!

Photo Friday: My Favorite Spot

My favorite spot is on the couch with one or more of my cats. In this case, Skylar and Starla.

If you missed yesterday's update, check it out: pictures of Kai's first day in his new home, sent by his new mommy. :) He's settling in well.

Foster Friday/Photo Friday: Eyes

Cousteau and Tabby Boy write:

Being twins is fun! No one can tell us apart (except our mama cat) unless they look at our noses. Can you tell us apart?

Cousteau is the top picture and Tabby Boy is the bottom picture! Our personalities are different, but we look identical (except for a little line on Tabby Boy's nose, and slightly different shade of fur).

Cousteau writes:

I'm going on my home visit today! Foster Mommy and Foster Daddy are taking me to visit the lady and her roommate who want to adopt me. I don't know if I'll like the truck ride, because the other time I was in a car/truck was when I went on the horrific ride to the shelters and back, then to my foster home. I hope I'll like the lady, and she'll like me! I'm coming back to my foster home for another two weeks with mama cat, even if the visit checks out. All of us little boys are now 6 weeks old, but Foster Mommy and Foster Daddy want to wait until we're 8 weeks.

Little Bit writes:

All of my kids plus Boo and Michelle either have home visits scheduled or are in the process of having them scheduled! That's such good news, but no one has asked for me yet. I'm glad my kids will all have good homes, and that my little sisters will also, but sad that no one wants me to be their kitty yet.

My babies are being litter box trained at the moment, and I supervise every time Foster Mommy picks one of them up to put him in the box. There's two extra boxes set up now, each where they have been going potty. They're an Avon box lid and a tv dinner tray, with litter in them. Someone went poop and pee in the tv dinner tray one, plus others have gone pee right beside it (on a lap pad that's set up there). Cloud is adamant about using a spot underneath the couch, so Foster Mommy may set up another box there.

Boo and Michelle write:

We're going to a home together! We have a home visit scheduled a week from Saturday, and we're so excited about it!

Cloud and Tabby Boy:

We're going to have a home visit at the end of the month, and will go to a home together! We're glad we'll have each other to play with at our new home.

Squishy writes:

Foster Mommy hasn't heard back on times for my home visit, but she's got someone else lined up for me if the first lady doesn't come through.

Photo Friday: Big and Small

Tabby and Rori demonstrating this week's theme of "Big and small". This picture was taken when Rori was a kitten, almost two years ago. It's being used this week on the front page of Catster as an advertisement for the Snuzzy blog! Mommy also has put it on cards and posters in her Zazzle shop.
