Easy on Sunday Morning

Skylar & Starla write:

After Daddy goes to work in the morning, we take over the chair! It's so comfy! We snuggle with Daddy when he takes naps in it, but then we like to take it over and snuggle with each other after he leaves.

Skylar says:

When I'm not feeling the greatest, as I am now, it helps to snuggle with my best friend Starla. It makes me feel so much better that I start purrrrrrrrrrrring away. Mom's going to take me in to the vet on Tuesday, because I've been drooling excessively and some of it was tinged with blood. I'm also having way more confused days than I was.

Starla writes:

After snuggling for a bit in the chair, I wriggle around so Mommy knows that I want to go back into the bedroom. I still won't run in there by myself if Tabby or Carbon is in the way, because Tabby will chase and I'm afraid that Carbon will (even though he's over that now). Mommy comes and gets me from the chair, takes me in to use the box if I need to, then brings me into the bedroom so I can dive under the dresser again. They're thinking of blocking off the dresser, though, so I will need to find another place to hide if that happens. They hope that by blocking it off, I will explore more of the house and not just automatically go for that one spot. Also, I pee under there if Carbon's in the bedroom. I'm just afraid that if I go to use the box, he'll come get me! Mommy says he's past that now, but I still wonder about him.

Carbon's Easy Like Sunday Morning

Carbon says:

Now that Little Bit's safely out of the "shop" next door, I can lie in the window watching the workmen again. Yes, that's my tail sticking out. I always have my tail or some of my fur sticking out of the shade. Mommy and Daddy laugh, but it's comfortable!

Daddy, I want to SNUGGLE!

Skylar writes:

Yesterday, I really, REALLY wanted to snuggle with Dad! I hopped up on the couch, got right in his face, and screamed at him to tell him I was there. I then hopped onto his side, hopped down, then back up, making sure he knew I was really there with him. Then I lay down on his side just like my sis Lydia used to and took a nap with him.

Mom and Dad are trying to decide if my increased snuggling is a sign that I'm feeling worse. I'm starting to act the same way my sis did before we knew she was dying. They know I probably won't last out the year, but I'm still able to get around the house and do my normal routine (eating, drinking, litter box, up on the bed and on the couch). I have fluids almost every day now, and love getting them still. So, all in all, I'm doing ok for my 9 years!

Easy Like Sunday Morning...in the dark

The man looked out the window, and saw us (Little Bit and Starla) sitting on the porch railing looking in at him! We love sitting here and chilling, saying hi to any of the inside kitties who happen to look out the window at us (and the humans if they do). The man told the lady to come with the camera, and she got this picture of us.

She also looked out the back door and saw our raccoon friend again. He wondered if she was going to run him off, so he watched her the whole time. He even stood up on his hind legs, watching her as he pulled the food from the bowl like someone eating chips and watching the game. Yes, Super Bowl reference, but after all it is today!
