The plastic kitty house Daddy made for our Sara when she was an outside kitty, before we brought her inside. The ferals sometimes use it now. It has a snuggle-safe heating pad and flannel blankies.
I added a link to this comment for the blog for the feral cats on Parliament Hill, here in Ottawa. A voluntary group takes care of them and the powers that be on Parlaiment Hill allow them to set up shelters and a feeding area for them.
Our Prime Minister (whatever his other faults) and his family are involved in cat fostering through the Humane Society, an activity he promotes on his official website. It ALMOST makes me like him!
