Foodie Friday: Desserts

This week's Foodie Friday theme is cakes, but I chose some general dessert recipes instead. May 17th is Norway's Constitution Day, which I celebrate (being Norwegian-American). For the day's smorgasbord, there are lots of goodies, including a traditional assortment of cookies. These are also served at Christmas. Last winter, I wrote an article about the Scandinavian tradition of seven kinds of cookies, "Sju sorter småkaker".

More Foodie Friday posts, including cakes and other desserts.

YUM- O! Cookies ! And Norwegian cookies at that ! Mombean is part Morwegian, her paternal grand pa was Norwegian- last name Hovda (orig. spelled with an "e" Hovde). ANYWAY, Mombean may just try some of these delivious coookie recipes and celebrate Norway's Consitiution Day... any excuse to bake cookies !!
